Bareweek for iPad
A little help.
For help, email hello@bareweek.com. Include your iPad model, iPadOS version, Bareweek version and what happened. You do not need to send your private handwriting.
Writing and navigation
Bareweek opens on today's page with Week notes beside it. Write with Apple Pencil, tick a line in the left margin or strike through it when it's done, and use the date strip (or swipe) to move between days. Tap Week, or pinch in, to see the whole week; drag a line from one day card to another to rebalance. Settings lets you turn Apple Pencil only off to draw with your finger. Free writing covers this week and next; other weeks remain readable.
Back up your ink
Open Settings → Back up all weeks, then save the editable backup to Files. Keep a copy somewhere that survives losing your iPad. Backups are manual and contain ink and layout metadata; paper photos and appearance preferences are excluded.
Restore a backup
In Settings, choose Restore a backup and select the JSON file you saved. Bareweek adds missing pages and keeps existing ink. Restoring ink does not restore your purchase. PNG exports are for sharing and cannot be restored as editable ink.
Restore Bareweek Pro
Use Restore Purchases in Settings or the unlock screen while signed into the Apple Account used to buy Pro. Pro is a lifetime purchase, with no subscription. Apple manages billing and refund requests.
A save or open error
Tap Retry and check that your iPad has available storage. Keep the app installed while seeking help; deleting it can remove local ink. If a restore stopped partway through, retrying safely skips weeks already imported.
